Celebrate with me, folks!!! Justin had an AMAZING day!
Justin was awake early this morning, definitely from the typical buzz of hospital business. Labs, chest x-ray, surgical team, pain team, shift change, cleaning crews, supply replenishment… all annoying. But he woke rested. He was chatty, eyes bright, and pain minimal.
The chair was Justin’s main residence for the day. He spent the better part of four hours there, which is fantastic for recovery, but tiring. Once we got him back to bed, he was fast asleep. And still snoozing.
Tube count is also decreasing. Nurses removed his catheter late morning. I can’t say he was too pleased as he claims surgery causes “shrinky dinky” making urinal deposits more difficult.
